You’ll be spoilt for choice for beaches on your Costa del Sol holiday. Along the ‘Sunshine Coast’, there’s every type of beach from Torremolinos’s seven kilometre stretch of sand to Estepona’s beautiful cove at Playa del Cristo. The beach at El Saldillo however is hard to beat.

El Saladillo Beach – which is only 80 metres from the Villa – is a lovely surprise as it’s quiet and unspoilt because it is slightly off the beaten track. The beach is wide, clean and inviting and has the most relaxed atmosphere. Nearby there are a couple of great restaurants and beach cafes to cater for the beach goers. They also rent out sun-beds and parasols. You can walk in either direction along the shore. You can stop on the way for a game of Beach Volleyball and there are several hotels or beach bars where you can buy a drink or have some lunch whilst watching the kite-surfers on the point or the super-yachts in the distance coming and going from Puerto Banus just along the coast.

The Mediterranean water is perfect for swimming and just along from El Saladillo beach a variety of watersports are offered near Villa Cana, including windsurfing, kite-surfing, paragliding and pedalos. If you prefer just to lay back with a paperback or fancy walking along the promenade, this is the place to do it!

The beach at El Saladillo also has good shower facilities and toilets. However being so close to the beach, Pluma Piedra offers its guests the choice of going back to the villa for siesta and refreshments as it is all so close by.

Here is a link which gives you a brief but accurate overview of El Saladillo.
